7 Simple Steps to Building Your Customer Base

This entry is part 2 of 10 in the series Best of WCWO

For Gold and Secret Society members only:

I’ve been on several post forums recently and have seen that a lot of entrepreneurs are having a difficult time finding clients for their particular products or services. I’ve taken the liberty of compiling a list of 7 potential areas to find local customers. Hopefully you’ll be able to glean a few tidbits of insight from them. I cannot take credit for them all, but have to admit several appear in my courses and e-books as well:

6 Steps to Building Credibility with Potential Clients

This entry is part 1 of 10 in the series Best of WCWO

For Gold and Secret Society clients only:

I get asked about credibility a lot. So much so that I felt the need to write about it. How can you build credibility with your potential clients, and what can you do even if you’re just starting out?

As I’ve said before, if your potential clients don’t trust you, you ain’t closing that sale! So what can you do to build credibility in the eyes of the person sitting on the sofa across from you? Continue reading

When Falling Down is Falling Up

Sometimes, when we fall down and don’t accomplish a goal when we think we should, it’s a really good thing instead of a really bad thing.

Over the past 30 days I’ve had some goals I wanted to reach regarding monthly revenue, my office organization, my book schedule, my fitness level, and my number of clients. Damn near all of them fell to the side when I got three new clients. Continue reading

What’s so special about setting personal goals the way businesses set business goals?

It’s a good question… what is so special about it? After all, is a new way of setting goals more likely to keep you focused on them? Is it more likely to get your out of the bed each morning? Is it more likely to make you accomplish them? Well, the answer to that is yes, no, and maybe. Continue reading

SLOW DOWN! You’ll get there faster if you do.

Hello. My name is Lisa, and I am an over-achiever. (smattering of applause from meeting attendees as I sit back down) Continue reading

Recipe For Success: Make Personal and Professional Goals The Same Way Businesses Do.

I get so excited about goal-setting. I love to set goals, and to make plans. I’m not as good at the follow-through part, but I guess I just need a goal and a plan to work on that! One of my biggest problems is that I get so excited with the process of change and all the possibilities and probabilities, I vastly overestimate human nature, the laws of time and quantum physics and just how many things I can juggle at one time without dropping them all and having to start over. I know that totally contracts the ‘superwoman’ attitude that we can do it all, but I’ve tried doing it all. I just get tired, frustrated, burnt out and generally difficult — and it doesn’t get me any closer to my goals. Continue reading

The Road to Disappointment is Paved With Goals

Why is it that we feel so good when we set a goal and so bad when we inevitably stray from our straight-and-narrow path? I am as guilty of it as anyone else (Even as I write this, I am thinking… I should be at the gym right now….). That piece of cake at the party last night, the fifty bucks you mean to put into savings but spent on an amazing pair of jeans, the self improvement book that seems to stay buried, unread, under the pile of mysteries and chick lit stories… we all have them. Continue reading

Using Action Plans To Reach Your Goals

If I decided to go to California, and I had $50 and no map, would I get there? Not without a considerable amount of frustration and wasted time. Why? I mean, its’ not like California is a bad place to go — and we all pretty much know where it is and how to get there… drive west until the land stops. if it’s warm, there’s an excellent chance you’re in California. Right? So what’s the problem? Continue reading

EMPOWER YOURSELF (come on, its fun!)

something occurred this week that makes me believe I should digress for a bit. This is called FLEXIBILITY and GOING WITH THE FLOW… something I am generally horrible at but am learning to do better with. Continue reading

Look Don’t Leap! Creating Clear and Well Thought Out Goals

Goals should be simple, clear, well thought, reasonable, timeable and easily articulated. For any goal you have, once you have clarified it, you should be able to write out an action plan that helps you break down all the steps necessary to meet the goal in the timeframe you have chosen.

Here are some examples: Continue reading
